Friday, April 2, 2010: Joshua Tree – Mojave National Preserve – Needles
Mojave National Preserve: “real” desert with Joshua Trees (not found in Joshua Tree NP) and unpaved roads (Heide loves them!).
Wanted to take a tour through Mitchell Caverns in Providence Mountains: tour was to start at 3:00 p.m.; when we arrived at 2:40, it was fully booked (“Next tour tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.”).
Drove to Needles, checked mails and found message from Andrea and Kirk.
