Today is not over… It’s a long one. We traveled back in time and arrived in SFO before we left SYD. So today will be 19 hours longer than a normal day for us. But one thing is for sure. We’re home and we’re done with our trip. When we saw the rain during our decent, we knew our summer was over.
With that being the case, this is our last batch of pictures. See them after the break.
Landed, waiting for bags at SFO.
Left SFO heading down 101. You can see the tail of our plane in red.
Us on top of the Sydney Marriott.
Without our big heads in the way.
Looking down at Hyde Park.
You can just make out the Sydney Opera house.
Pool view.
Looking the other way.
In the cab on our way to the airport.
Waiting to check in.
Gates 8-10, left. Gates 8-10, straight. Gates 8-10, right. Which way again?
That’s our plane on the left. And of course Downtown Sydney.
One last drink before we go.
Cheers!
In our seats at the back of the plane.
On the plane with downtown in view.
Making the turn for the runway.
Lift Off!
Pretty.
Heading over the Pacific.
Going, going…
Gone! That’s it. Our last view of Australia.
The sun sets.
Pretty.
10 hours into the flight, our entertainment system went down and they sat us in Business Class.
Oooo. Business Class.
Entertainment system? Ha!
Sabine
Now, shall we just say that as Quantas is member of Oneworld I pulled some strings, arranged that “entertainment failure” and got you the upgrade? 😉 Hehe! Ah, fab!
