Yes, the last 2 days were all about driving. And gas stations. And MPGs (around 11.5-12.0 actually). It was time to get some distance between us and Canada (as we’re approaching the end of our trip), and with that, we had a lot of distance to cover. Thursday morning, after packing up at our West Glacier, MT campsite we headed west, along Hwy 2 thru Montana and into Idaho, then turned south onto Hwy 93 until we reached the freeway, I-90 … Read More

Day 13: Vehicle Length Restriction 21 Feet

After 3 days out in the boonies, it was about time to catch up on our photos and posts … and this morning that’s exactly what we did. Type up the blog, pick out and caption the photos and then off to find an internet cafe to get wifi access and upload it all! By early afternoon, … Read More

Day 10: Jetting from Jasper to Beautiful Banff

posted in: Canada 2011 0

You might think we’ve had enough scenery for a while, but no! Now that we’re in the National Park, we’re officially on scenic routes! After breakfast and a grocery & souvenir shopping stop in Jasper, we are heading south now, along Hwy 93 towards Banff. There are several must-stop places outlined on our map, but the sights in between are not to be missed either! The viewpoint for Mt. Edith Cavell and Mt. Hardisty, the impressive Athabasca Falls, and then … Read More
